EHAS Jamaica Launch: Empowering Youth in Children’s Homes and Low-Income Communities
Kingston, Jamaica: EHAS (Everyone Has a Story – Empowerment for Healthy and Aspiring Societies) proudly announces its launch in Kingston, Jamaica, on April 20, 2024. This innovative initiative aims to transform the lives of young people in children’s homes and low-income communities by fostering a mindset of empowerment, resilience, and hope.
EHAS Jamaica, an extension of the global EHAS mission, is dedicated to nurturing the potential of Jamaica’s youth. The program focuses on equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to overcome challenges and achieve their aspirations.
Key Activities and Goals:
Mentorship Programs: Pairing youths with mentors who can provide guidance, support, and positive role models.
Educational Workshops: Offering workshops on topics such as self-esteem, goal setting, and career planning.
Community Engagement: Involving youths in community projects to foster a sense of belonging and responsibility.
Collaboration with Local Organizations: Partnering with local schools, children’s homes, and community centers to reach as many young people as possible.
